Happiness

In my work and humanitarian duties,
I come across people of different background very rich, very poor, happy and unhappy.
The very rich are not necessary happy and the very poor are not necessary unhappy.
What is the secret of being happy I asked?
When you are at PEACE with yourself comes the ANSWER.
Happiness comes from ACCEPTANCE.
One can still have career but do it differently.
One can still have wealth but do it differently.
One can still have harmony in the family but do it differently.
One can still have health but do it differently.
Your subconscious and happy cells will help you to be that person you are or hope to be.
I was invited to share food with my Bangladesh Gardener some years ago.
He cooked curry chicken and invited me and my husband for Hari Raya.
His name is Sultan.
In a makeshift lounge,
sitting cross legged, eating with our hands under the clear blue skies was
the most delicious curry chicken i have eaten.
His happiness magnified on everything,
the food, the ambience and the company.
This experience has a lasting effect on me which I carry fondly as I continue my journey in life.
Terima Kasih Sultan!
